Oil for Food Program. Master Plan for the reorganisation of the agricultural, livestock and agro-industry sector

The program foresees to draw up and implement a general Master Plan in order to promote and stimulate the local economy at rural level, mainly of the whole agricultural and food sector, including production, processing, storing, transportation and distribution both at wholesale and retail level.

Aim of the project is to reorganise the production and food distribution system of North of the country (Kurdistan) throughout financial resources coming from United Nations Resolution N. 962 (Oil for Food Program; euro 80,000,000).

The specific Objective of the project aimed in strengthening the capacity of professional local staff belonging to the agricultural institutions and farmers organisations of the three Provinces of Kurdistan.

• Technical Assistance and training to stakeholders for boosting their organisations;
