Description
The project, which is part this contract, aimed to a greater social and territorial cohesion of the Costa Rican society reducing: (1) social inequalities (access to assets, income, services), policy (participation, deliberation, voice) and communication (identity and belonging), (2) regional imbalances in development. Specifically, the €mprende project contributed to greater economic independence and social inclusion of women in rural and urban-marginal areas. The project supported also the implementation of assistance policies for marginal groups in a situation of economic vulnerability and with business potential.
Expected Results
R1. Collection and systematization of experiences, best practices, opportunities, obstacles, needs, challenges, risks, etc., faced by women entrepreneurs with disabilities both at regionally and nationally level, to access to the labour market.
R2. Identified regional and national existing employment offers for women entrepreneurs with disabilities and potential new sources of employment and self-employment for this target population.
R3. Developed and implemented a pilot Plan in various selected regions for women and entrepreneurs with disabilities. The plan envisaged two specific actions: a) systematization of experiences to minimize risks, obstacles b) identification of needs as well as opportunities and best practices.
R4. Established a strategy of joint work among entities, Inter-agency Support Network, responsible for the implementation of the National Plan of labour and social Inclusion of people with disabilities in Costa Rica.
